Good Bye 2013
I ended last year with a post about how 2013 had the potential to be a really big year. After 2012 all we could hope for was a better 2013. The year start out rough with Dave losing his job, finding another one that wasn't working out and becoming really frustrated. He was tired of working on cars and wanted to new path. He started working for my step dad at South Suburban Heating and Air in the spring. He really likes it and doesn't miss cars at all. He still does side work on cars but is thankful to find a different path. I defended in March and was officially labeled a Dr. It was hard work but I really enjoyed writing my dissertation (Capstone). It has been really weird not having school to work on but I am enjoying the flexibility of my time. Next came the surprise of a baby. It is something that we all wanted and knew would come after I finally finished school. The pregnancy has been very easy and she should be here any day now. Just when we thought things couldn't get any better I was able to find a job in my field and quit the dermatologists office. This has been a year a many changes for us and thankfully all for the good. 2014 will start a year of even more changes where things will never be the same. I cannot even imagine what the year will bring. All I know is that Dave and I couldn't be more thankful for the opportunities presented to us this year and the support from those around us.

Pregnancy update
This is the most recent picture. I need to do a new one since its almost 6 weeks old already, however, I don't think I'm much bigger. I'll be 23 weeks at the end of the week. I've really started to feel her move in the past couple of days and Dave was able to feel her last night. I've had a very easy time. I can't really complain, my "symptoms" have been rather minor. Half the time I need to remind myself I'm pregnant. I can't believe how fast the time is going. Dave has been busy getting her room ready and doing other projects around the house so everything is "fume" free and clean by time she gets here.

Oh the Changes...
This past week has been filled with wonderful surprises! So many good things are happening...First I was asked to teach two classes at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I will be teaching a Masters level and a Doctoral level class (at first it was two Masters, but that changed today). Then on Wed I got a call offering me the job as an associate director at the Chicago School. I start July 29. I am super excited, but super nervous at the same time. Everyone there has been so wonderful and helpful. I am really looking forward to working there. After 10 years I was able to put in my two week notice at the dermatologist....feels pretty weird. Then this weekend Dave and I went for our first ultrasound. We went to a private company that does pictures, videos, and we got a stuffed animal with the baby's heartbeat on it. It was pretty amazing to see the baby....very active and loved using my bladder as a trampoline. To top it off we were able to find out the sex of the baby...we are having a baby GIRL! We are so blessed to have all these wonderful things happening in our lives. Thanking God everyday! Below you find the pictures. I wish I could upload the video but I can't...so you'll have to see me to see that
